You can support Lizzie here:

“The stairs are like a mountain and the hallway at school goes on forever, but I know I will get there if I keep moving. “ -Lizzie age 11

Your donation will go towards: the purchase of stairlift and installation.  The initial quote was for almost $15,000.  Insurance does not contribute to this as they refer to a stairlift as a non-durable medical device.

Lizzie is having difficulty traversing the stairs, which lead to her bedroom.  She is encouraged to navigate the stairs (“mountain”) at least one time independently daily.  However, as the day progresses, especially after school, her level of strength and endurance plummet.  Her father and mother assist Lizzie up the flight of stairs by carrying her multiple times a day. Your support will not only aid in her independence but also help make these mountains easier to climb.

Future anticipated fundraising will go towards: medical equipment such as a mobilized wheelchair/scooter.  As time goes on we also hope to be able to fund research, raise awareness and give to others that are also affected by Collagen VI Muscular Dystrophy.

Thank you for your support!
